ARLINGTON SOUTH: REMEMBERING LIVES LOST IN IRAQ

On March 20, 2004—the one year anniversary of the U.S. bombing and invasion of Iraq—Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out, Pax Christi Naples, and other local peace groups will mount a powerful, respectful remembrance of 564+ American soldiers who have died in Iraq. Beginning at 8:00 a.m., volunteers will form a field of 564 white crosses. Each cross will represent a fallen soldier and will bear his or her name and age. The aim is threefold: to recognize and mourn the 564+ American soldiers who have lost their lives; to make visible the human cost of war and occupation; to show support for our troops by demanding that the administration BRING THEM HOME NOW—ALIVE
