EMERGENCY CALL TO STOP THE TORTURE & END THE OCCUPATION
May 22, Saturday, 4:00-6:00 PM

S.E. Corner of Immokalee Road & U.S. 41
We are deeply concerned that rather than bringing peace and security to the Iraqi people, the occupation of Iraq has brought violence, torture, destruction and chaos. Sending in more troops is NOT the answer. Instead the U.S. must
—announce a rapid withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Iraq
—ask the U.N. to raise an interim peacekeeping force made up of non-coalition troops
—withhold all funding for the war, except for reconstruction
—transfer reconstruction contracts from U.S. contractors, to Iraqis, under U.N. supervision
—allow Iraqis to decide when and how to hold elections
—raze Abu Ghraib prison to the ground
Join us for a peace rally in NAPLES as we call upon our President and Congressional representatives to end the occupation and withdraw our troops from Iraq. We call for an immediate end to the torture; an immediate end to the siege of Iraqi cities; an immediate withdrawal of all U.S. troops; and immediate access to humanitarian and medical aid assistance. Bring signs and banners (or use ours). Fact sheets, talking points and petitions available at www.unitedforpeace.org.
