Regarding Biden's visit, etc. It's past time for everyone to "take the gloves off", stop being afraid of being scorned as antisemitic, and condemn Israel's (and America's, by proxy) absurdly vicious behavior toward Palestinians, Gazans, and Arabs. Let no one forget Rachel Corrie, a student from Evergreen College in Olympia, Washington.

I watched, with deep chagrin, the video of _The Stoning of Soraya M._ last night. It is a horribly anti-Arab propaganda piece that pushes all the hot buttons of American disgust and hatred of Muslims. Such transparent encouragement to war "to protect Muslim women" is fomenting even worse violence than we Americans have already engaged in. The triumphalism in "getting the story out" to the world through Freidoune Sahebjam, the Paris-based Iranian journalist, is so farcical that it covers the Middle-east propaganda only for the ignorant. Our embedded journalists whose stories and photographs have been sifted and censored by the Pentagon have wholly misinformed us of what we have been doing in blindly "supporting" our troops and "remembering" 9/11.

Israel's acts of war in the Middle-east must be unmasked of their "defensive" veil. Instead of "saving money" on the backs of the working class Americans (by reducing "socialist" benefits), we could save much more by radically reducing our funding of Israel's war machine (and our own).

Some of my Jewish friends are likewise appalled by Israel's war machine. Read Rabbi Michael Lerner, editor of Tikkun for a different version of Israel's belligerency.

There is no way to peace. Peace is the way. Rachel Corrie was right. Allow her words in My Name is Rachel Corrie to be spoken on America's stages, in our high schools, in Congress.
